How To Manifest Your Dream Life: Law of Attraction Method

Manifesting your dream life seems impossible when life keeps throwing obstacles your way. Understanding the law of attraction might just make all the difference.

Anyone can manifest their dream life, but not everyone does. Why? Because it takes a certain amount of focus, drive and a huge shift in perspective.

    What is the Law of Attraction?

    The law of attraction is one of the 12 Universal Laws, which are said to be the most fundamental laws of the universe. Each of these laws applies to everyone without exception.

    The law of attraction is the basic principle that you attract whatever you focus on. It’s the idea that “like attracts like”, that you can only attract positive experiences by being and feeling positive. 

    This can be a difficult concept to grasp for people who suffer from past trauma, depression, anxiety, insecurity, fear or indecision, as positive thinking may feel out of reach. But there are ways to start shifting your perspective.

    The most powerful thing to do in this instance is to work on all that self chatter going on in your head. The subconscious mind holds the key to manifestation.

    Shifting Your Subconscious Thoughts

    Our subconscious minds are on a constant loop. We don’t realise it, but we think around 90% of the same thoughts today as we did yesterday.

    It’s really hard to break this cycle of thought, especially when you’re not aware of it. The brain also happens to have a negative bias, meaning it naturally focuses more on negative outcomes than positive ones.

    If you’re constantly feeling negative, fearful, insecure or anxious then you can’t simply say “I am happy” over and over again and expect to manifest happiness. Your mind is essentially sabotaging your attraction. 

    Shifting your subconscious thoughts is the first step toward manifestation and takes a little work.

    How to Manifest Your Dream Life

    1. Work on Your Thoughts 

    Attracting your dream life will take some practice. 

    First, you need to shift your thoughts which means you may need to heal past trauma to get to the root of your subconscious programming. 

    There are many modalities that can be used to start shifting your subconscious thoughts, these include: 

    Each of these techniques will help you to delve into the subconscious mind and identify where your self sabotaging behaviour comes from. They all work to unearth any blockages in the subconscious mind so that you can confront it and heal.

    This in turn will help to shift your subconscious loop, so that 90% of your repeated thoughts are more positive, allowing you to attract positive experiences.

    2. Decide What Your Dream Life Looks Like

    Now that you’ve worked on your mindset it’s time to manifest your dream life. The first step is to decide exactly what it is you want. You need to create a clear intention about your dream life and get into as much detail as you can. 

    Ask yourself:

    • What does my dream life look like?
    • What specifically about my dream life am I trying to attract? 
    • What do I love doing? What am I good at?
    • What can I do to achieve my dream life?
    • Who can I become to attract this dream life? 
    • What are the steps I can take towards this? 

    Now that you’ve figured out exactly what you want, you’ve created a vision of the future instead of focusing on the pain of the past. This is an important step as you're sending new signals to the brain and creating new neural pathways. Focus on this dream life and the steps you’re going to take toward getting it. 

    3. Visualize Your Dream Life

    Now that you know what you want it’s time to connect the dots. Take some time to visualize your dream life in as much detail as you possibly can. Create a really clear picture in your mind of what your dream life looks like:

    • Imagine what you look like with your dream life
    • Where do you live? What does your house look like? 
    • How do you; look, sound, dress, express yourself as a person
    • Who are you with, if anyone?
    • What is your career? What is your passion? What are you doing everyday?
    • How do you respond to challenges as this new person living your dream life?
    • How does it feel to be you?

    4. Feel It As If It’s Already True

    As you’re visualizing your dream life, try to feel it as if it’s already true.

    Remember, like attracts like.

    Matching your visualization with an elevated emotion is sending new powerful signals to the brain. It’s feeding the subconscious new information which will encourage positive actions toward achieving and attracting this visualization.

    5. Take Action

    Now all of your mechanics are working toward your dream life and you’re operating at a heightened frequency. Although you’re using the law of attraction to attract, this doesn’t mean you just sit there and wait.

    Everything is there waiting for you, you just need to reach out and get it. With a new positive mindset, and a clear vision of the future, your mind and body are working toward aligning yourself with your dream life. Start taking as many steps as you can toward reaching this goal.

    6. Let Go

    While you can visualize and focus on your dream life, don’t sit around wondering why you don’t have it yet.

    Let go.

    Remember that when you're focusing on your dream life that you’re doing it from a positive headspace and not a desperate one. You're focusing on it as if you already have it; you're feeling it as if it's already true, so how can you want for it?

    When you long or pine for something you’re signalling “lack” to the brain. If you’re feeling as though you lack something then you’re going to attract more feelings of lack. 

    This can be a tricky one for many people but it is important not to constantly wonder “when” you’ll get what you want. Try to let go and believe in the process.  

    Final Thoughts

    Understanding the law of attraction is a powerful step toward manifesting your dream life. Once you grasp that you receive what you focus on, you're less inclined to think negatively. You switch your mindset to see the glass half full and start to feel glass half full results.

    This new positive mindset coupled with visualization and action are a sure way to start living your dream life. 

    Be patient and kind to yourself during this process and remember that it takes some time to get there.
